Colourful looking eyes are always a fun, especially when it’s green. There are wide colors ranging from chartreuse to turquoise to bright light to forest green and so on. The following tips are designed mainly for green eyes, but as every one knows exception prevails in every case. Whatsoever, my best advice would be to try out any color which you are so keen to try out and find the one which suits you the best.
Choosing An Eyeshadow
There are several ways and colors from which one can make a choice.
Chocolaty brown tones are a good choice. You can also go for dark greens and brown with golden copper highlights which is also a better choice to go with. When you choose your highlighters, see to that they are taupes and apricots.
Plums, dark purples, metallic’s also work out well. Gold and copper touches to a green eye will always pose a glamorous evening look. I have a personal opinion that deep purples look well in combination with green eyes.
Colors to Avoid
While having a basic idea of what colors suit well for green eyes, you can guess out what color combinations you should avoid.
The color which mainly distracts green eyes is blue. So, I would suggest not using any shades of blue (deep blue, light blue, purple mix or any other color with blue undertones).
The next color which one cant guess pt if it will look good or bad is pink. At times it shows excellent combination and at times it will turn you down. So, it’s like playing the trail and error method.
In case of blue eyes, you must avoid using silver which reduces the effect.
Eyeliner Colors
Black colored eye liners are used mostly. Unless you have an attraction to it, you can avoid it. You can go for the chocolaty brown or steely greys. White or gold can be used for eye opening in case your eyes look small.
There is a rule to be followed while choosing the colors for green eyes. You must focus only on warm tones rather than cool ones.
There may be exceptions as I had already mentioned. So, just go for a train and error method and find out the eye shadow which best suits your green eyes.
The Application
Application of your eyeshadow depends mainly on the occasion and the number of colors you are wearing.
For a general day wear, here are some tips:
1. Apply a crystal like highlighter to your eye starting from the bottom to the eyebrow.
2. You must use apricot or taupe and try to blend it over the already applied crystalline crease.
3. Next is to apply the third coating (chocolaty brown, copper, dark green) and there are two ways to apply:
a. Apply from middle of eyelid from the lash to above the crease in a fine layer and blend it. Blend it over the lower lashes if you wish to have a dramatic posture.
b. Start applying from the inner corner of eyelid and drag it till the end of your eye corner. Don’t make it thick. Just blend it well.
4. Apply mascara and eye liner in a usual and that’s the end of it. You have done a perfect make up for your green eyes.
